WVDOH Standards & Manuals Committee-June 4

The WVDOH Standards & Manuals Committee’s next meeting will be held in person on April 2, 2025, at 9:00a.m. in Room 820 in Building 5 of the WV Capitol Complex, 1900 Kanawha Blvd. E., Charleston, WV. The Standards Committee agenda:
- Four Old Business Item(s):
- Two Structural Directives: SD 2090 – Jointless Bridge Abutments and SD 2110 – Piers
The two SD’s provide additional guidance to designers, SD 2110 also has been modified to add limits to reinforcing steel and additional evaluations procedures for loading due to rehabilitation activities. - DD201 - Public Involvement Process, which updates language for virtual meetings.
- DD 701-Contract Plan Presentation revises adds language regarding the Environmental Permit Impact Commitment Sheets which plan a crucial role in EPA's environmental compliance
- Two Structural Directives: SD 2090 – Jointless Bridge Abutments and SD 2110 – Piers
- Two New Business item(s):
- Standard Sheet PVT1-Concrete Pavement Joint Layout and Types. The revision adds tie bolt assembly for both shoulders.
- Various DD's - Revision removes Chief Engineer and reinstates State Highway Engineer
The Manuals Committee agenda:
- One New Business item(s),
- WVDOH Construction Manual, update to Section 402-Asphalt Skid Resistant Pavement. The revision removes unnecessary language regarding testing requests from subsection 402.2-Records and Daily Reports.
